Frequently Asked Questions
What is your rate?
The rate for both individuals and couples is $135 per each 55 minute session. For couples, I do offer 90 minute sessions that are $200 per session.
Reduced rates are available by request based on availability. These rates are income-based and operate on an honor system for a limited amount of sessions in order to help clients maintain a frequency of care based on their needs and goals.
How do i schedule an appointment?
You can contact me via phone (615-567-3429) or email (jaymeamickmartin@gmail.com) to schedule your appointment.
I see clients on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 12pm and 7pm.
what are sessions like?
I am collaborative in practice, which means I’m going to check in with you throughout session by reflecting back what I’m hearing from you - this is because I view YOU as the expert of your story, not myself. I am simply a guide helping you understand your story and its impact on you today.
Secondly, I am experiential in nature. In our sessions together, I am going to help you locate and experience emotions in real time in your body, so that we can, together, make sense of what is happening in your body outside of session when these emotions come alive.
what do i need to bring with me for the first session?
Once you schedule your initial session you will receive access to your client portal. In that portal you will receive information on myself, directions to the office, as well as the required forms. You will need to have these forms completed prior to your initial session.
If you wish to pay with a credit card, bring the card and I can save it to your account so that your sessions are automatically debited in future.
What can i expect from my first session?
During your first session I will explain your rights under the No Surprises Act. Following this, we will review my practice policies, your intake paperwork and discuss any questions you may have. We will spend time processing what has brought you in for therapy. We will discuss your goals for therapy. I will give an overview of how I practice. By the end of this session, my hope is that you will have clear expectations for your time with me, as well as whether or not I will be a good fit for you. If at the end of this session you do not feel we are a good match I will gladly send you a referral to someone else.
do you take insurance?
I do not take insurance. You can pay through cash, check, or credit card (including HSA/FSA cards).
If you wish to pay with a card, I can save it to your account so that your sessions are automatically debited in future.
Payment is due at the time of your session.
