Jayme Martin, LMFT
Prior to counseling, I spent almost nine years in full-time vocational youth ministry. I have served in churches located in Ireland, as well as Jacksonville, Florida and Franklin, Tennessee. During my time in ministry, I found myself walking alongside many families in the midst of trauma, pain, and suffering. Longing to be better equipped to help individuals and families make sense of their own stories, I returned to school for my counseling degree. I hold a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene. I continue to be passionate about helping individuals and couples find healing by providing a safe space where they can begin putting words and language to their experiences.
Like many in the area, I am a transplant - originally from Florida - but I have spent the last ten years making Middle Tennessee my home. I am married and embrace the research of Emotionally Focused Therapy because I have seen the fruits of it, not just in my clients’ marriages, but also in my own. I have a deep love and appreciation for the first cup of coffee in the morning and inspirational sports movies. You can catch me boxing on the regular and traveling the world when life allows.
